Self Help Self Harm Recovery, Mental Health Crisis Support Care Kit with small blood roller
Self-harm can affect people of all ages and is often used as a way of coping with overwhelming emotions or distress. As well as causing physical injury, it can have a significant emotional impact, including feelings of guilt, shame and isolation.
For some people who self-harm by cutting, the sight of blood may form part of the coping process. This product has been developed as a safer alternative to help reduce the urge to self-harm, alongside a range of practical support items designed to encourage healthy coping strategies.
Designed by a healthcare professional with first-hand experience of supporting people who self-harm, this kit has been created to provide practical tools that may help manage distress and encourage alternative coping techniques.
With many years of experience working within schools, mental health facilities (including secure units) and counselling services for both children and adults, I have developed a range of support resources to help people find safer ways to cope during difficult moments.
Each kit contains one 1ml glass roller bottle filled with a specially formulated imitation blood solution, created from four different components to provide a realistic visual effect.
